LEED FOR
HEALTHCARE

What do I learn in LEED for Healthcare?

LEED for Healthcare is for individuals that work closely with inpatient/outpatient facilities, medical offices, assisted living organizations, hospitals, and medical education and research centers.

Anyone that has worked with or in the Healthcare industry can tell you about how unique (and important) the needs of these facilities can be. Almost all healthcare buildings have strict guidelines and codes they are required to meet, many have 24/7 staff and operations, and energy and programmatic demands are high.

This course focuses in on the LEED for Healthcare rating system that was designed to acknowledge all of these needs while highlighting the differences between these types of facilities compared to normal buildings. The end goal is to help promote healthful, durable, affordable, and environmentally sound practices in these projects.

EDUCATION

What do I learn in LEED for Education?

LEED for Education is for individuals that work closely with elementary schools, middle schools, and high schools of all types.

Anyone that has worked with or is in education knows that the buildings that our country's students and teachers are in shape their futures and outlooks on life. From Kindergarten through to the 12th grade students spend some of their most important years in the same facilities day in and day out. This is why learning Leed for Education can help have such a measurable impact on our country's future.

Taking into consideration educational facilities unique occupants, this course address the design and construction of K-12 schools. Things like classroom acoustics, master planning, mold prevention, environmental site assessment, and power resources are always very important to these buildings. Taking this course will greatly improve your ability to help schools go green as this movement continues to grow.

LEED FOR
RETAIL

What do I learn in LEED for Retail?

LEED for Retail is for anyone that works on building projects that are zoned for retail space. These spaces must accomodate large amounts of people, large energy demands, unique architecture and planning, and often on large spaces of land. This course addresses how to deal with these factors with LEED principles in mind.

Meeting these needs while making sure that retailers have an adequate and unique space for their products is what this course focuses on. Since energy and water demands, transportation and parking needs, and hours of operation can vary greatly between projects, there are many considerations to be made when working on these projects with LEED Certifications in mind.

This course will give you the edge you need to help service projects on buildings such as malls, restaurants, banks, big box stores, and everything in between. As retailers notice that their customers appreciate environmental consciousness more and more it's almost essential to understand the needs of retailers wanting to go green. This course will give students the knowledge they need to do that.
